Last Day of School

Winter's last day of school was last Thursday so now she is officially a 2nd grader. CRAZY! I ended up meeting her for lunch for the first time and really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to doing it a lot more next year. We also picked her up from school so we could get a picture of her with her teacher. Winter loved her teacher this year so we are really going to miss her. Hopefully her teacher next year is just as great!

Here are her pictures from the beginning of the year to see how much she has grown.

After we picked her up from school we had to get on the road since we were spending the weekend in Colorado. We had reservations that night in Colorado Springs and I wanted to take my time getting out there. We stopped in Greensburg to see what they were doing to rebuild the town after the tornado.

The new school.

The new art building.

It was so sad to see all the foundations that once had a house on top of them.

This metal artwork was along the highway for about a half mile so we stopped along a side road to check some of it out.

The Boot Hill Museum. We didn't go through it since it closed but did check out the gift shop.

We ended up getting into Colorado Springs at 11:30 so we went straight to bed since the next day was going to be busy.
