The End Of Winter Break

Most of Daddy's week off was spent relaxing and organizing the house. We made 2 trips to Goodwill so we could make room for everything we brought back with us. Since we had both kids home we also added in some fun outings for the kids. On Thursday since the weather was beautiful we decided to head to the zoo. The kids had a blast and we couldn't have asked for better weather.
On Friday for NYE we let the kids each make their own pizza. This was a big hit and Winter wanted to do it again for dinner on Monday. Daddy ended up making his own pizza dough for the first time and it was delicious!
Since Andrew's Aunt got us a membership to Exploration Place(Thanks Ronda!) we headed there on Saturday. I took my camera but I only took a couple pictures since we were having so much fun. We spent most of our time at Water Works, which is a traveling exhibit, and the vet office.
Then on Sunday Winter woke up and decided she wanted a new look. She was a little disappointed since it isn't as short as she wanted but I told her we could go shorter next time.
Weston also has big news...He is working on sleeping in his big boy bed!! He has almost been in it for two weeks and has only had two nights when he wouldn't sleep in it. We do have to tell him a couple times each night to get back in his bed but it is not to bad.

Now that he is sleeping in a big boy bed he has also decided that he doesn't need a highchair anymore. The only problem with this is he doesn't stay seated so we are forced to make him sit in his highchair.
Trying to be a big boy.

Monday was Daddy/Daughter Day. Winter and Daddy went swimming, then to McDonald's for lunch, and to play in their playplace. After that they played Lego's until Weston and I got home from the church. We had our yummy pizza for dinner again and then started getting everything ready for Winter to go back to school. It was the perfect end to a wonderful 2 week vacation!
