Sleepovers, Cousins, and Omaha

Two weeks ago the kids and I headed to Lincoln with my mom for the week. My Mom always takes two weeks off in July so it has become a tradition for us to come back and spend the whole week with her. I love the memories Pootie and now Baby Brother get to create with my Mom and their cousins since I was really close with my cousins growing up.

We got into Lincoln Saturday night and my Cousin Maggie came down from Omaha so we could spend some time together. I haven't seen her in FOREVER so it was nice to have a girls night to just sit around and catch up, eat junk, and watch tv. Pootie ended up also having her Cousin D spend the night. The next day, Pootie's Cousin B came over to play. All the kids had a blast running through the sprinklers and sliding down the slip-n-slide.

On Monday, my Mom, my Sisters kids, Me and W&W all headed up to Omaha to spend the day. We started out by going to a Wildlife Safari that is right outside of Omaha.

About halfway through the Safari they have a place where you can get out and take a path up to see bears and wolfs. We ended up not seeing any and since it was pretty hot out we didn't stay long.

After the Safari we met my Mom's cousin and her daughter's son at Schwer Park Splash Pad in Papillion. Here is Baby Brother and Kellum a year ago and here they are now.








When the kids were done we headed back to Lincoln so I could meet up with some friends from highschool for dinner and the kids could rest to prepare for the next couple days of fun.
