Being Spontaneous

Last Friday we decided to be spontaneous and go to Kansas City for the night.   We booked our hotel at 1:30, called Winter's school to tell them we would be picking her up early, and got on the road at 3:00.   She was so shocked when we showed up early to get her and was so excited when we told her it was a surprise.  It didn't take her long to guess where we were going though since she can read the road signs.
When we got to Kansas City we took the kids to the T-Rex Cafe, did a little shopping at Legends, and stopped for ice cream before checking into our hotel.  After we checked in we took the kids swimming at the indoor pool which also had a slide.  The kids had a lot of fun and Winter said “It was the best day ever!” 
The next day we went to Nebraska Furniture Mart to look at some things for the new house.  We spent 3 hours there but Andrew and I could have easily stayed longer.  I love that place.  After shopping we had lunch, and then headed home.
